Seminar on Affective Education

         『愛的教育』-「輔導成長、發展生命課程」由香港大學課程及教育學系許錦屏博士統籌，教區中學教育心理學家及幾位教師協助推行，計劃由優質教育基金贊助，參與的學校計有：天主教郭得勝中學、梁式芝書院、高主教書院、聖貞德中學及德蘭中學。

         簡介會於五月二十二日舉行。整個課程分三個層面，學生層面上，以學生為中心，藉有系統及連貫的課程，提昇學生自信、自律、自主的能力；在課室層面上，學生學習互相欣賞、互相信任及互相接納的美德；在學校層面上，加強教師專業培訓及推動訓輔合一。這個課程十分配合天主教辦學精神。

        A Resource Package entitled “Affective Education: Enhancing Students’ Personal Growth and Social Competence” has been published.  This is a project sponsored by Quality Education Fund.  The project is headed by Dr. Eadaoin Hui, Education Faculty of the University of Hong Kong, and assisted by one Educational psychologist and several teachers from Diocesan secondary schools.  Participating schools include Kwok Tak Seng Catholic Secondary School, Leung Shek Chee College, Raimondi College, St. Joan of Arc Secondary School and St. Teresa Secondary School.   

        The Seminar, held on 22^nd May 2002, was an introduction to the affective curriculum, strategies in implementation, effective use of the Resource Package, and ways to foster developmental guidance and affective education as a whole-school approach.  Teachers participating in the Project shared their experiences in delivering the curriculum.  The presentation was followed by school-based discussion on possible implementation, and how affective curriculum might further contribute to fostering our Catholic school ethos.
